English Dub or Sub?

Okay so I was thinking about this the other day and I was wondering what you all like the most, English dubbed anime or English subbed anime? Or perhaps you like it raw?

This is kinda like one of those paper or plastic questions. Which one is better "in your opinion".

For me it's subbed. I don't mind dubbed every now and then but I really enjoy subbed the best. I started out watching anime subbed and I really got used to it, especially after I started learning the language. Now I can understand a lot of what they are saying. It's hard for me to leave behind all the "baka", "nakama", and other cool Japanese stuff for substitute English words. I have watched a whole series raw before and that was a very interesting experience.

BTW, dubbed is English voices. Subbed is Japanese voices with English subtitles.

PS. I like plastic better.

Well, it all depends on which I start with.. Cause if I start with English, I get used to their voice and match it to their character. But, if I then switch to Japanese, I get a let down feeling cause its.. well off to me. But, I like them either way. If its a japanese anime, I'd prefer it to be in Japanese with subs. :3
Except for Spice and Wolf, much better in english.

well to me it doesn't really matter but i think it depends on what anime i'm watching. i prefer subbed but i can only watch it when my dads not here^^ he doesn't like japanese things

Yeah that makes sense if you start watching it with English voices. I usually always start watching them in Japanese first, and then I'll go back later and watch it in English if I really liked the series.

The only one I've seen so far that I prefer watching in english is DBZ. I never liked Goku's Japanese voice....

Aha! So that's why you have great ninja skills!

I remember doing the same thing when I lived at my parents house, except I did it with my whole family. It didn't bother my sister or brother that much but my parents were against a lot of things I would watch... especially stuff like magic. I love magic anime and games so.... yeah big conflict there.

Have either of you watched an anime episode or series raw? Without any subtitles?

I don't do it all the time but every once in a while I will. It's interesting. It's like when you looked at picture books when you were a kid before you could read anything. You get an understanding of whats going on from just the pictures.
